Untitled vs DataMoon

The DataMoon alternative that shows its work.

DataMoon and Untitled sell a similar list: identity resolution, intent data, audience building, direct mail. The difference shows up in the details. Untitled publishes its pricing, it's case studies (with client names), its match rate for every activation destination, and its technical documentation, and you can read all of it before you speak to anybody.

We'll prove our value on a demo:

The short answer

Untitled and DataMoon both resolve anonymous website traffic and sell audience and intent data. DataMoon is sold entirely through a demo request. Every commercial button on their website, including the ones labeled View Pricing and Choose Plan, resolves to the same demo form. Untitled publishes plan pricing from $500 per month, publishes a separate match rate for each activation destination rather than one blended figure, owns the DSP that buys the media, and publishes its API, security and identity resolution documentation in a public knowledge base.

Published pricing. Untitled starts at $500 per month. DataMoon has no pricing page at all.

Untitled match rates by destination. Meta 75%, Google 75%, LinkedIn 60%, streaming TV 90% (we own the delivery). Published individually, because that is how you plan a campaign.

Buy media through us too. Untitled runs its own DSP for connected TV and programmatic. DataMoon hands the audience to a platform you buy somewhere else.

Which DataMoon number
is the real one?

We have not used DataMoon's data, so we are not going to tell you it is bad. What we can tell you is what their website says, because we read it. It does not agree with itself, and the disagreement is on the two numbers a buyer actually cares about.

Intent categories, homepage

Their homepage counts its own intent categories twice, about one scroll apart.

60K+Homepage statistics bar
40K+Homepage buyer intent card, same page

Intent categories, product page

Their visitor identification page manages to print both figures, then goes back to the first one.

A 20,000 category swing is not a rounding error. Either the number is 40,000 or it is 60,000, and the person signing the contract deserves to know which one before they sign it rather than after. Untitled publishes 36,000 contextual intent topics. It is a smaller number than either of theirs. It is also the same number on every page of our website. Our intent topics are actually public, view them here →

API and delivery

Both platforms have an API.
Here is what ours will do.

DataMoon publishes a REST API with webhooks and SDKs, so this is not a question of who has one. It is a question of whether the data can land where your stack already lives, and whether it can join to the records you already hold.

Five ways to receive the data

Our integrations are optional. We do not expect a large team to activate from inside our platform, or to onboard an established CDP into it. Treat Untitled as one more source in the stack you already run.

  • REST API. Warehouse-native and engineering-led stacks. Docs are public.
  • Private PostgreSQL warehouse. A common enterprise pattern.
  • SFTP. Established file-based workflows.
  • Custom delivery. For the cases where nothing else fits.
  • The Untitled portal. For teams who want a workspace rather than a pipe.

Two ways our data joins yours

An enrichment feed you cannot join to your own records is a file, not an integration. Both mechanisms below are documented publicly and configured with our team.

  • Hashed email. The native identity marker of the graph. If a hashed email is the only thing you can share, that is enough to match, which satisfies most data-minimization requirements without moving raw records.
  • Customer-designated UUID sync. The Untitled ID Tag extracts an identifier your systems already generate and attaches it to the resolution record, so both sides share a join key.
Evaluating either of us

Six questions worth asking
any visitor identification vendor.

Including us. If a vendor cannot answer these in writing, that tells you something more useful than any homepage statistic will.

What is the match rate, by destination?

A single blended number averages the destinations that match well with the ones that do not. Ask for Meta, Google, LinkedIn and connected TV separately. Ours are 75, 75, 60 and 90 percent.

Which intent number is the real one?

Ask for the count, in writing, and ask where the underlying signal comes from. Ours is 36,000 topics built from content consumption across 300,000+ publisher sites.

Can I see the product with my agency branding in it?

Every vendor site is full of mockups, ours included. Theirs currently shows a John Davidson and a Sarah Rodriguez at 555 phone numbers. Ask the vendor to show a white-labeled account live on the call instead. We'll do it.

Is the matching deterministic or probabilistic?

This is the difference between a resolution you can act on and a guess with a confidence score. Ours is primarily deterministic, anchored to a hashed email address.

Who is the data controller?

Ask who holds that role, what the tag does when your consent management platform says no, and whether the subprocessor list is public. Ours is. You remain the controller and we act as processor.

What does it cost, before the call?

A vendor that will not name a number until it has qualified your budget is telling you the number depends on your budget. Ours is $500 and $1,000 per month, published.

An honest note

When DataMoon is
the better choice.

We would rather you pick the right platform than sign with us and churn in a quarter.

Choose DataMoon if

Your primary need is a B2B contact database. Their stated 120M+ business contacts with firmographics, technographics and org charts is deeper on the B2B side than we are, and we are not going to pretend otherwise. The same applies if your core workflow is real-time alerts routed to SDRs in Outreach or Salesloft. Untitled's intent audiences currently deliver to paid media destinations rather than to a CRM or an email platform, so if the deliverable is a sales alert rather than an audience, they have built more of that than we have.

Choose Untitled if

Your customers are consumers, you run several brands or client accounts at once, and the audience needs to be spent against rather than exported. A person-level consumer graph, published per-destination match rates, an owned DSP for connected TV and programmatic, direct mail at a published price, and a price you can read before the call are what we are built around. If you need to defend the vendor choice to a security or procurement team, our documentation is already public.

Switching

Moving over from DataMoon.

You do not do this part alone. Our team runs the migration with you at no charge, whether that is one brand or a book of twenty client accounts.

STEP 01

Set up accounts and branding

We build your parent account and a workspace per brand or client, then add your logo, colors and custom tag URL if you are running white-labeled.

STEP 02

Deploy tags and connect data

Install the Untitled ID Tag and connect the ad platforms, CRM and email tools already in use. Resolutions start arriving within about 24 hours.

STEP 03

Rebuild audiences and activate

Recreate your segments in the audience builder, sync them to the channels each account runs, and add connected TV or direct mail as new line items.

Run both and test

Do not take our word for the match rate. Test it.

Keep DataMoon running while we deploy alongside it. Same site, same traffic, same month. Compare resolution volume and what each audience actually matches at inside Meta and Google before you cancel anything. Migration work costs you nothing on our side.

Questions

Untitled and DataMoon, answered.

What is the difference between Untitled and DataMoon?

Both platforms resolve anonymous website traffic and sell audience and intent data. DataMoon leads with a 280M+ consumer profile graph and a 120M+ business contact database, and is sold through a demo request with no published pricing. Untitled leads with a 300M+ US person-level consumer graph, publishes plan pricing from $500 per month, publishes a separate match rate for each activation destination, and owns the DSP that buys connected TV and programmatic media. DataMoon is deeper on B2B contact data. Untitled is deeper on consumer identity, media activation and published documentation.

How much does DataMoon cost?

DataMoon does not publish pricing. There is no pricing page on datamoon.com, and the buttons labeled View Pricing and Choose Plan both link to their demo request form. We have not found a rate card or a credible user-reported figure, so we will not guess at a range. Untitled publishes its pricing: $500 per month for Starter, $1,000 per month for Growth, custom for Enterprise, and wholesale rates for agency partners.

What is the best DataMoon alternative?

It depends on what you are buying the data for. If you need an audience you can spend against, Untitled is the closer fit: person-level consumer identity resolution, 36,000+ contextual intent topics, one-click sync to Meta, Google, TikTok, Pinterest and LinkedIn, an owned DSP for connected TV, and direct mail retargeting at a published price. If you need a B2B contact database with org charts for outbound sales, tools built around firmographic depth will serve you better than either platform's consumer graph.

Who are DataMoon's competitors?

DataMoon competes across three overlapping categories. In website visitor identification, against Untitled, RB2B, Retention.com and Opensend. In consumer and B2B data enrichment, against the large contact data providers. In audience building and activation, against identity and audience platforms that push segments into ad accounts. Untitled is the closest direct comparison because it spans all three, and it is the only one of them that also owns the DSP the audience is activated into.

What is DataMoon's match rate?

Their website states it three different ways on one page: up to 70 percent in the headline, a flat 70 percent in the statistics bar, and typically 50 to 70 percent in the FAQ. Ask them to confirm the figure in writing for your specific traffic mix. Untitled publishes a separate rate for each activation destination rather than one blended number: 75 percent to Meta, 75 percent to Google Ads, 60 percent to LinkedIn, 50 percent to TikTok and Pinterest, and 90 percent to streaming TV through our own DSP.

How many intent categories does DataMoon have?

Their website gives two answers. The homepage statistics bar and their own comparison table say 60,000 or more. The homepage buyer intent card and the statistics bar on their visitor identification page say 40,000 or more. Both figures appear on the same pages as each other. We would ask them which one is current before signing anything. Untitled publishes 36,000+ contextual intent topics, and that is the figure on every page of our site.

Does Untitled have a website visitor identification pixel like DataMoon's?

Yes. The Untitled ID Tag resolves anonymous traffic against a 300M+ record US identity graph and returns real people with contact and demographic attributes attached, with no form fill. Matching is primarily deterministic and anchored to a hashed email address rather than probabilistic modeling. You can run tags across multiple sites or client accounts, and resolutions start arriving within about 24 hours of install.

Can I white-label Untitled the way DataMoon's Authorized Partner program works?

Yes. Agency partners run the platform under their own brand with custom logos, colors and tag URLs, so clients log in to your software rather than ours. You can run a single multi-tenant master account or a parent to child structure where each client gets their own login and permissions. Wholesale rates mean you set what you charge and keep the margin. Unlike DataMoon, we publish the retail pricing your clients would otherwise pay, which makes the value of your markup easier to defend.

Does Untitled have an API?

Yes, and the documentation is public at docs.getuntitled.ai. Beyond REST, data can be delivered to a private PostgreSQL warehouse, over SFTP, through custom delivery, or through the Untitled portal. Our data joins yours through a hashed email address, or through a customer-designated UUID sync where the ID Tag attaches an identifier your systems already generate to the resolution record. DataMoon also publishes a REST API with webhooks and SDKs, so this is a question of delivery paths and join mechanisms rather than of who has an API.

Can Untitled help me migrate from DataMoon?

Yes, at no charge. Our team rebuilds your audience segments, sets up a workspace per brand or client, brands the platform to your agency if you are running white-labeled, and deploys your tags. We would rather you keep DataMoon running during the move so you can compare resolution volume and platform match rates on the same traffic in the same month before you cancel anything.
